CAIRO: Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least four Palestinians, including a married couple and a 17-year-old, in separate incidents in the Gaza \u200bStrip on Tuesday, health officials said.<\/strong><\/p>\n Medics said an Israeli airstrike killed \u200cAkram Yassin and his wife Dina Abu Baker in an apartment in Gaza City.<\/p>\n In Khan \u200bYounis, in the south, medics said a 17-year-old boy was killed \u200bby Israeli gunfire near the Qizan Al-Najar neighbourhood, while another \u2060was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun suburb east of Gaza \u200bCity, taking Tuesday\u2019s death toll to at least four.<\/p>\n The Israeli military did not \u200bimmediately comment on either of the two gunfire incidents.<\/p>\n Palestinians inspected the aftermath of the strike on the apartment in Gaza City before gathering for the couple\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re supposed to \u200bbe in a ceasefire period, but honestly, we are not seeing a \u200bceasefire or anything. The war is still going on, assassinations are continuing, and the shelling \u200chas \u2060not stopped,\u201d said Mahmoud Yassin, whose brother was killed.<\/p>\n Israel, which says the Hamas group has been rearming and launching attacks in violation of the ceasefire, has stepped up strikes on the group in recent weeks.<\/p>\n Hamas has denied \u200btrying to carry out \u200battacks or \u2060rebuild its arsenal and accuses Israel of undermining the Gaza peace deal.<\/p>\n The ceasefire, brokered by the US a year \u200bago, calls for the eventual reconstruction of the territory. But \u200blittle progress \u2060has been made towards implementing a deal to end the conflict that includes terms for Hamas to disarm and Israel to withdraw its troops.<\/p>\n Gaza health officials \u2060have \u200bsaid at least 1,500 Palestinians have been killed \u200bby Israeli fire since the ceasefire.
