{"id":91486,"date":"2026-10-22T11:59:29","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T11:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/91486"},"modified":"2026-10-22T11:59:31","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T11:59:31","slug":"ogdcl-begins-oil-and-gas-production-at-khairpur-exploratory-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/91486","title":{"rendered":"OGDCL begins oil and gas production at Khairpur exploratory well"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: Oil &amp; Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) has initiated gas and condensate production from Sindh\u2019s Bitrism East-1 exploration well in Khairpur district.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company said the well is currently producing seven million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 200 barrels per day of condensate from the Basal Sands of Lower Goru Formation.<\/p>\n<p>OGDCL has informed the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProduction is expected to be progressively ramped up as the well flow stabilises,\u201d a spokesperson of OGDCL said.<\/p>\n<p>Hydrocarbon reserves were discovered on October 1st from Bitrism East-1 exploration well, company said. \u201cAn approximately 28-kilometre, 8-inch flowline laid to connect the well to the Sinjhoro plant for processing. \u201cThe processed gas is now being supplied to the SSGCL networks,\u201d spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>OGDCL is the operator of the Bitrism Exploration Licence with a 77.5% working interest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe commencement of production from Bitrism East-1 reflects OGDCL\u2019s continued focus on bringing discoveries into production, enhancing the domestic hydrocarbon supplies,\u201d said the company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/ogdcl-begins-oil-gas-production-khairpur-exploratory-well\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Oil &amp; Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) has initiated gas and condensate production from Sindh\u2019s Bitrism East-1 exploration well in Khairpur district.
