{"id":92406,"date":"2026-10-24T17:59:50","date_gmt":"2026-10-24T17:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/92406"},"modified":"2026-10-24T17:59:51","modified_gmt":"2026-10-24T17:59:51","slug":"pakistan-targets-3000-public-ev-charging-stations-by-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/92406","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan targets 3,000 public EV charging stations by 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>Pakistan plans to establish about 3,000 public electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities across the country by 2030, according to the Ministry of Industries and Production.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a written reply to the National Assembly, the ministry said the government\u2019s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025-30 envisages an initial phase of 40 fast-charging stations along motorways and selected sections of the National Highway (N-5).<\/p>\n<p>Charging points are planned at intervals of about 50km on major highways to support the expansion of electric transport.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry was responding to a question from lawmaker Malik Shakir Bashir Awan.<\/p>\n<p>Under the policy, fuel stations will be encouraged to install EV charging units, while the government plans to expand fast-charging, Level 2 and Level 1 facilities. Battery-swapping stations are also planned for electric two- and three-wheelers.<\/p>\n<p>To attract private investment, the government is offering a dedicated commercial electricity tariff for charging stations and faster electricity connections.<\/p>\n<p>Public-private partnerships, including viability gap funding arrangements, are also part of the plan.<\/p>\n<p>The policy further covers the collection, transportation, reuse, dismantling and recycling of end-of-life EV batteries, particularly lithium-ion batteries.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry said work is under way on a regulatory framework and a nationwide network of battery collection and recycling facilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/pakistan-targets-3000-public-ev-charging-stations-by-2030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan plans to establish about 3,000 public electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities across the country by 2030, according to the Ministry of Industries and Production.
