American journalist and political commentator Tucker Carlson has claimed that the United States could be preparing for a possible nuclear strike against Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n Carlson, in a lengthy post on X claimed that US President Donald Trump could consider using nuclear weapons against Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He further claimed that a decision on the matter could be made by November 7.<\/p>\n Carlson identified Iran\u2019s Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran as a potential target, alleging that suspected nuclear facilities in the area are located inside underground tunnels.<\/p>\n He argued that conventional weapons may not be capable of destroying these deeply buried facilities, raising concerns about the possibility of nuclear weapons being considered.<\/p>\n Carlson further warned that a nuclear attack on Iran could have far-reaching consequences beyond the Middle East, potentially triggering a global conflict.<\/p>\n The American commentator cautioned that the use of nuclear weapons against Iran could set a dangerous international precedent, potentially encouraging Russia to consider using nuclear weapons against Ukraine.<\/p>\n He also warned of an increased risk of nuclear confrontation between Pakistan and India, while suggesting that tensions involving North Korea and South Korea could also escalate.<\/p>\n Carlson claimed that a nuclear strike on the suspected Iranian facility could cause radioactive contamination across the Gulf region, potentially threatening water supplies relied upon by millions of people.<\/p>\n According to Tucker Carlson, US Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff are advocating a diplomatic agreement with Iran rather than further military escalation.<\/p>\n He claimed that both officials believe a negotiated settlement with Tehran remains possible, although reaching an agreement would be challenging.<\/p>\n Carlson also alleged that Netanyahu had increased pressure on US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and the head of US Central Command, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe were supportive of Netanyahu\u2019s position.<\/p>\n The claims made by Carlson comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump on Saturday spoke over the phone in which Netanyahu pushed US President hard to immediately attack Iran after the Tuesday (Nov 3) midterm elections, according to Axios which cited an Israeli and a US source.<\/p>\n While the Israeli source called the talk \u201ctough,\u201d the US source said it was \u201cdirect.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump confirmed the conversation and describing it as a \u201cvery good talk\u201d, according to the Associated Press.
