Thursday\u2019s stock selloff to fears of Democrats threatening the AI data center investment boom, with the tech-focused Nasdaq suffering its worst session percentage-wise since April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Data centers have faced broad opposition from US voters regardless of political affiliation, and many midterm winners have pledged to put the brakes on such US networks projected.<\/p>\n<p>After earlier seizing the House of Representatives, Democrats flipped Senate seats in at least six states, including traditional Republican strongholds Texas, Kansas and South Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats won full control of the US Congress in a sweeping midterm rout Tuesday with a landslide of upsets that delivered a crushing rebuke of President Donald Trump and his Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>The victory handed Democrats both the House of Representatives and Senate, giving them power to block Trump\u2019s agenda and investigate alleged corruption for the last
