Punjab Police’s Khidmat Marakiz (Service Centers) have emerged as key hubs for delivering digital policing services across the province, benefiting millions of citizens.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, over 2.87 million citizens have availed services from these centers so far this year. Among them, 1.26 million obtained General Police Verifications, 694,000 received Police Character Certificates, and 321,563 registered tenancy details. Additionally, 134,600 citizens were issued Medico-Legal Certificates.
Under initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable groups, more than 107,000 individuals received legal and social protection services, while 36,000 utilized Vehicle Verification Services. Furthermore, 72,480 citizens reported lost documents, 3,748 crime reports were registered, and over 160,000 obtained copies of FIRs.
The spokesperson also revealed that 72 cases of violence against women were recorded this year, 68,943 employees were registered under the ROPE (Registration of Private Employees) program, and 2,916 individuals underwent Police Verification for private jobs.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised Khidmat Marakiz as a “flagship project for public service delivery,” providing 24/7 facilities and continuously improving based on citizen feedback. He added that hundreds of thousands of citizens across Punjab, including Lahore, are benefiting from these centers every month.
