Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore, where he personally listened to their grievances and issued immediate orders for relief and redress.
According to an official statement, Dr. Anwar directed the Additional IG Welfare and Finance to provide medical and financial assistance to Ghazi Constable Tariq Mahmood, while instructing the DIG Establishment II to process Liaqat Ali’s request for declaring his late brother, Constable Shafqat Ali, as a police martyr.
The IG also ordered the Additional IG Punjab to address Lady Sub-Inspector Naeela Zafar’s complaint against clerical staff, and further directed relief on Saifullah’s request regarding compensation for his late son, Constable Shazil Afaq.
Dr. Usman Anwar additionally issued instructions on various other matters related to discipline, administration, promotions, and welfare of police personnel, emphasizing that the welfare of force members remains a top priority for the Punjab Police.
