Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a new schedule for upcoming by-elections in the province of Punjab, under the provisions of the Elections Act 2017.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Provincial Election Commissioner (Punjab), by-elections will be held in five constituencies — NA-96, NA-104, NA-143, PP-98, and PP-203, covering districts of Faisalabad and Sahiwal.
The spokesperson said that the last date for filing appeals against the decisions of Returning Officers is October 24, while Appellate Tribunals will announce their decisions by October 31. The revised list of candidates will be published on November 1.
Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nomination papers until November 3, and election symbols will be allotted on November 4, the statement added.
Polling for the by-elections is scheduled to take place on November 23, 2025.
