LAHORE: Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, large-scale construction of houses is underway across the province, enabling thousands of deserving families to become proud homeowners under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme.
Secretary Housing Punjab, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, met with beneficiary families of the programme in Faisalabad and conveyed the Chief Minister’s felicitations to them upon the completion of their new homes.
One of the new homeowners said, “We never imagined that building our own house would become this easy. We received an interest-free loan on extremely easy terms, which turned our dream into reality.”
Another beneficiary expressed gratitude, saying, “We are deeply thankful to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for launching this welfare-oriented initiative for people like us.”
Appreciating the efforts of the families, Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal remarked, “Your beautiful houses are a sign of the programme’s success.”
According to the spokesperson for the Housing Department, 12,177 families in the Faisalabad Division have benefitted from the programme so far, while 11,625 houses are currently under construction. Additionally, 2,939 beneficiaries have successfully completed the construction of their homes.
The spokesperson further stated that the construction of houses under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme is progressing uniformly across Punjab to ensure that every deserving family can realize their dream of owning a home.
