Two Militants Killed, Five Injured in Security Operation Near Pak-Afghan Border

Islamabad — Two militants were killed and five others injured during a security operation conducted by Pakistani forces near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, security sources said on Sunday.

According to the sources, the forces launched a search and sanitization operation in the area following reports of militant activity. Exchange of fire took place during the operation, resulting in the deaths and injuries.

Preliminary reports suggest that one of the killed militants was affiliated with the Afghan Taliban, while the identities of the others are being verified.

The security forces have cordoned off the area, and the search operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats, officials added.
