ISLAMABAD: Authorities have completed postmortems of all victims killed in Tuesday’s suicide attack at the G-11 district courts in Islamabad.
According to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) administration, the bodies have been handed over to the families, including that of lawyer Zubair Aslam Ghumman. Hospital officials confirmed that all victims have been identified, while 13 people remain under treatment — one of them in critical condition.
Security Tightened in Red Zone
In the aftermath of the deadly explosion, security has been tightened across the federal capital’s Red Zone. A high alert has been declared around the Islamabad High Court and adjoining areas.
Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar personally reviewed the security arrangements at the main entrance of the court and directed that a police vehicle be stationed at the secondary gate as well.
Authorities have also imposed restrictions on public movement outside the Islamabad High Court, with only authorized personnel allowed near the premises.
