Lahore, Pakistan: The Women’s Circle of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan hosted a vibrant contemporary invitation in honor of women journalists, bringing together senior and young reporters, journalists, and digital content creators from various national and private media organizations.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Humaira Tariq highlighted the event’s purpose as more than a formal program, describing it as an intellectual awakening movement aimed at fostering collective consciousness for justice, peace, and strengthening the family system in society. She emphasized that when women recognize the power of their character, society can emerge from darkness into a new era of hope and change.
Nazima Ijtima and Director Media Cell Samina Saeed spoke on the country’s current challenges, the pressing issues faced by women, and the significance of systemic reform under the initiative “Badel Do Nizam.” They stressed that empowering women socially and economically is essential for sustainable development, justice, and national stability, noting that ignoring women’s concerns is equivalent to ignoring the country’s future.
The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where Dr. Humaira Tariq and Dr. Sameeha Raheel Qazi responded to journalists’ queries and provided insights on the women’s public gathering. Both speakers urged women to participate actively, emphasizing that their full engagement is key to achieving lasting social change.
Notable attendees included Nazima Central Punjab Nazia Towhid, Nazima Lahore Halqa Uzma Imran, Deputy Director Media Cell Saadia Hamna, Khalida Shahzad, Deputy Secretary Information Shahnaz Asma, Secretary Information Central Punjab Safia Nasir, and Zeba, alongside a large contingent of women journalists.
