LAHORE: Punjab Police Khidmat Centres continued to provide fast and efficient public services across the province, with 14,351 citizens benefiting from various facilities within the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Punjab Police said that under the directives of Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar, Khidmat Centres in Lahore and other districts remained fully operational, offering a wide range of citizen-focused policing services.
According to the spokesperson, 5,844 citizens received police verification services, while 3,193 individuals obtained police character certificates. Additionally, 2,058 people registered tenancy information, and 385 citizens reported the loss of important documents.
The spokesperson added that hundreds of thousands of citizens benefit from Khidmat Centres every month, reflecting the growing public reliance on these service facilities across Lahore and the wider province.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said the centres are playing a key role in providing modern, transparent, and accessible services to the public—an achievement he described as a practical demonstration of the police’s citizen-friendly approach.
