LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider held a detailed meeting with Hafiz Khalid Naik, Deputy Secretary General of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), to discuss the prevailing political situation in the country.
The meeting, held at the residence of Hafiz Khalid Naik, was attended by Choudhry Shaukat, Salahuddin, Abdullah Khalid, and other party officials. During the discussion, Governor Haider underscored the need to prioritise public issues and strengthen communication and cooperation among political parties.
Hafiz Khalid Naik briefed the Governor on the party’s recent intra-party elections, ongoing rescue and relief efforts during the floods, the “Apna Kamau” skill development programme, and other organisational activities.
Both leaders agreed on enhancing mutual cooperation, improving the overall political environment, discouraging divisive and hate-driven politics, and maintaining regular contact. Hafiz Khalid Naik expressed gratitude to Governor Sardar Saleem Haider for visiting his residence.
