ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan has approved the appointment of the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, as the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) for a term of five years, according to an official statement.
Speaking informally to journalists at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Field Marshal Asim Munir said, “Everything is fine and transparent. Things are moving in a positive direction. Pakistan is now set to take a higher flight.”
