Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed all commissioners and deputy commissioners across the province to ensure strict implementation of the one-dish policy at weddings and social events.
According to the official directives:
Strict action will be taken against loud music played at weddings and other gatherings.
Illegal use of loudspeakers, including at qawwali nights and similar events, will result in immediate legal action.
The Chief Minister has instructed authorities to impose the same restrictions on farmhouses and open grounds that currently apply to marriage halls regarding the unlawful use of loudspeakers.
An in-principle decision has been taken to enforce the one-dish rule at farmhouses and grounds as well.
Furthermore, officials have been instructed not to attend any wedding or event where the one-dish policy or loudspeaker regulations are violated.
According to government sources, these measures aim to curb extravagance, reduce noise pollution, and ensure better social discipline.
