Islamabad: President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President of the Federation of Realtors Pakistan, Sardar Tahir, has said that business conditions in Pakistan are increasingly becoming unfavorable for the business community.
Speaking on the issue, Sardar Tahir stated that doing business in the country is gradually turning into a “crime,” adding that traders and entrepreneurs are bearing the brunt of revenue shortfalls through excessive pressures and policies.
He said that under the current Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government, farmers are distressed and traders are struggling, questioning who, if anyone, is benefiting from the prevailing economic situation.
Sardar Tahir urged policymakers to engage with the business community and introduce business-friendly reforms to restore confidence, encourage investment, and stabilize the economy.
