Abu Dhabi/Dubai: The United Arab Emirates is experiencing the peak of a spell of unstable weather, with rain, strong winds and turbulent sea conditions continuing across several regions, authorities said.
Meteorological departments have warned of thunderstorms, reduced visibility and rough seas, urging residents to exercise caution. Parts of the country have already witnessed intermittent rainfall accompanied by gusty winds, leading to dusty conditions and sudden drops in visibility, particularly on highways and in open areas.
Officials cautioned motorists to avoid flooded roads, adhere to reduced speed limits and remain alert to changing weather conditions. Fishermen and small boat operators have also been advised to stay clear of the sea as wave heights increase and winds strengthen.
Emergency and municipal services remain on high alert, while residents have been urged to follow official advisories, secure loose objects outdoors and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather.
Authorities said the unstable conditions are expected to persist for the time being, with further updates to be issued as the situation develops.
