T.A.T.us All The Things She Said Spotify Streams More Than Double After Heated Rivalry Episode

T.A.T.u’s 2002 anthem “All The Things She Said” served as one of the best needle drops on television this year, soundtracking a pivotal moment in last week’s episode of Heated Rivalry, and now its streams are skyrocketing.

According to data Spotify shared with The Hollywood Reporter, the song’s streams on the platform have more than doubled, rising 135 percent in the U.S. since the fourth episode’s release on Dec. 12. “All The Things She Said” currently has over 700 million total streams on Spotify. Discoveries of the song have jumped by 200 percent, Spotify said, with Gen Z accounting for 60 percent of those discoveries.

If you’re on Heated Rivalry TikTok, the algorithm has likely served up an edit to the song or a clip from the pivotal scene in the show. The show’s fourth episode used both t.A.T.u and British artist Harrison’s versions of the song.

Aside from the song itelf, Spotify says the audiobook for Heated Rivalry, the Rachel Reid novel the show is based on, has also seen a massive increase in the lead up and airing of the Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie-fronted series. Audiobook streams on Spotify of the book have increased by 1,500 percent in the last 10 weeks. The book is the second in a string of gay hockey romance novels by Reid that are all set in the same universe.

Theshow, created for television byLetterkennyalum Jacob Tierney, centers around a fictional hockey universe.Heated Rivalryfocuses on two rival professional hockey players— Canada-born Shane Hollander (Williams) of the fictitious Montreal Metros and Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) of the fictitious Boston Raiders — as they navigate a years-long secret fling. Tierney and Brendan Brady are showrunning the series from Accent Aigu Entertainment.

Heated Rivalry was already gaining traction online ahead of its premiere, but it’s become increasingly popular in the nearly four weeks since its debut. The show’s fifth episode will air on Crave and HBO Max Thursday (Dec. 18). It premieres on Sky in the U.K. and Ireland on Jan. 10.
