LAHORE: A faculty member of Punjab University’s Hailey College of Commerce (HCC) has secured selection for the prestigious EELISA Skill Up 2025 – Collaboration, Inclusion & Entrepreneurial Universities programme, to be hosted by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Switzerland.
Lecturer and PhD scholar Mr Hafiz Fawad Ali has also been awarded a competitive €800 grant to support his participation in the Europe-based academic activities.
A key component of the programme is Mr Ali’s involvement in the ZHAW Concept Lab, an innovation-focused learning platform that brings together scholars, educators, and practitioners from across Europe. The Concept Lab emphasises hands-on experimentation, rapid prototyping, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the practical application of research to address real-world societal and entrepreneurial challenges.
Participants work closely with experts from the EELISA European University Alliance, transforming research ideas into tangible solutions within a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
Mr Ali’s selection reflects his commitment to research excellence, inclusive innovation, and the integration of entrepreneurial thinking in higher education. His participation is expected to strengthen global academic dialogue on educational innovation, sustainability, and socially responsible entrepreneurship.
The achievement highlights the growing international presence of Pakistani academia, with Punjab University, Hailey College faculty, and students expressing pride and extending best wishes as Mr Ali prepares to represent Pakistan on this distinguished European platform.
