Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Tuesday met police employees and their family members at the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore, where he listened to their concerns and issued directions for immediate relief.
According to officials, the IG Punjab personally reviewed a number of applications and instructed the relevant officers to address the issues without delay. Acting on the transfer request of Lady Assistant Nargis Begum, he directed the Additional Inspector General (AIG) Administration and Security to provide relief. Similar instructions were issued on the transfer request of Lady Junior Clerk Abida Parveen.
In another case, the IG Punjab ordered the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Welfare and Finance to extend financial assistance to the wife of martyred Driver Constable Sher Ahmed, in line with departmental welfare policies.
Dr Usman Anwar also issued directions on several other applications related to discipline, administration, promotions and welfare, reaffirming the police department’s commitment to supporting its personnel and their families.
