ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Consumers in Pakistan are likely to receive significant relief at the fuel pumps starting January 1st, 2026. Following a sharp decline in crude oil prices in the international market, authorities have planned a substantial reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight.
Official sources indicate that the price of petrol is expected to decrease by Rs. 10.60 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) may see a cut of Rs. 8.59 per litre. Additionally, the price of Kerosene oil is likely to drop by Rs. 8.92 per litre, and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs. 6.62 per litre.
If the proposal is approved, the new price for petrol will fall from the current Rs. 263.45 to approximately Rs. 252.85 per litre. High-Speed Diesel would decrease from Rs. 265.65 to Rs. 257.06 per litre, and Kerosene oil is expected to settle at Rs. 171.62 per litre from its current rate of Rs. 180.54.
