LAHORE: Punjab Police has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of the families of its brave martyrs by providing a residential house worth Rs13.5 million to the family of Shaheed Constable Abdullah bin Mazhar, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
A spokesperson for Punjab Police stated that the house, purchased in a private housing society in Multan, was acquired according to the family’s preference. This initiative was made possible through the special efforts of Inspector General Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, with funds released by the Government of Punjab for the welfare of the martyr’s family.
Shaheed Constable Abdullah bin Mazhar had embraced martyrdom in 2024 after being fired upon by dacoits in the Kacha area. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Paying tribute to the fallen officer, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Constable Abdullah had laid down his life while performing his duties selflessly, without regard for his own safety. He added that Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifice of its brave personnel.
Dr. Usman Anwar further emphasized that Punjab Police is the custodian of over 1,700 martyrs, and the welfare of their families remains the top priority of the department.
