PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has criticized the federal government’s approach, stating that demanding a change in failed policies results in being labeled a supporter of terrorists.
Speaking during a meeting with affectees, CM Gandapur said, “My government raised its voice for peace from day one. We were against military operations yesterday, and we remain against them today,” according to provincial government spokesperson Suhail Afridi.
The Chief Minister expressed strong concern over the situation in Tirah, calling the treatment of local residents “unacceptable.”
The statements come amid ongoing tensions between the provincial and federal governments over counterterrorism strategy in the region.
