Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has assured traders that financial losses incurred in the Gul Plaza incident will be compensated. Speaking to the media during his visit to Gul Plaza, the chief minister said the provincial government would take steps to ensure affected traders receive due relief.
He stressed that while financial losses can be compensated, there can be no compensation for loss of life. Murad Ali Shah announced that a comprehensive inquiry would be conducted into the incident to ascertain the facts and determine responsibility.
The Sindh chief minister also revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has not yet contacted him regarding the incident.
