ZURICH – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Switzerland to participate in the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. At Zurich International Airport, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva Muhammad Bilal, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Marghoob Saleem, and Pakistani diplomatic staff in Switzerland received the Prime Minister.
Accompanying the Prime Minister for the World Economic Forum meeting are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
The Prime Minister will participate in various sessions of the 56th World Economic Forum meeting. During the meeting, the Prime Minister is expected to hold meetings with various world leaders. The Prime Minister will also participate in a business roundtable hosted by Pakistan in partnership with the World Economic Forum.
The Prime Minister will highlight reforms being undertaken regarding Pakistan’s economic stability and Pakistan’s improving economic indicators at the World Economic Forum meeting. The Prime Minister will also discuss the Triple O Program (Order, Opportunity, Optimization) regarding Pakistan’s stability. This visit is part of Pakistan’s efforts to attract international investment and promote economic cooperation.
