Davos:
U.S. President Donald Trump has formally announced the establishment of the Gaza Board of Peace, marking a new international initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in Gaza.
The signing ceremony of the Gaza Board of Peace agreement was held in Davos, Switzerland, where Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, along with leaders and representatives of several other countries, signed the accord.
Addressing the ceremony, President Trump thanked participating countries for joining the initiative and said he would continue working closely with the United Nations and other international partners to advance the objectives of the Board of Peace.
“I appreciate the participation of all nations in the Gaza Board of Peace. We will work together with the United Nations and the international community to ensure lasting peace,” President Trump said.
The U.S. President also highlighted his role in conflict resolution, stating that he had helped stop eight wars worldwide. Referring to South Asia, he said both Pakistan and India are nuclear-armed countries and claimed he played a key role in preventing a war between them.
“By stopping several conflicts, the world has become a safer place,” President Trump added.
