Iranian student inventors have achieved notable success by winning nine medals at two major international competitions: the 2025 Yakutia International Science Fair in Russia and the 2025 International Olympiad of Inventions and Innovations in South Korea.
Mehdi Rashidi Jahan, head of the Iranian student teams, told
IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS, that the Yakutia Science Fair is a highly respected event aimed at promoting science education, identifying young talents, and encouraging international scientific collaboration.
The competition, organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Yakutia with support from leading Russian scientific institutions, featured 129 teams from ten countries presenting projects in fields such as engineering, computer science, information technology, and biomedical sciences. Iran’s team notably secured six top places, including medals in computer science, IT, and engineering disciplines.
