LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with the newly appointed Assistants of Punjab Police at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by 32 Assistants who have joined the force from various districts across the province.
Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the new Assistants on joining the police and emphasized that hardworking, competent, and experienced office staff are the backbone of any institution. He urged the Assistants to fully utilize their education, skills, and abilities to ensure professional excellence in their duties.
The IG stated that the new Assistants will undergo one week of initial training, after which they will give presentations on their assigned responsibilities. He highlighted that by performing duties with hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm, they can achieve career progress.
Dr. Usman Anwar also noted that the induction of these Assistants will fill vacant positions and bring significant improvement to the efficiency and performance of office operations.
According to Punjab Police, the recruitment process was conducted through the Punjab Public Service Commission. The newly recruited Assistants hold degrees ranging from MPhil, MA, MSc, BSc, to LLB, and will be posted across various units and branches of Punjab Police.
Also present at the meeting were Additional IG Punjab Imran Arshad, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, and AIG Admin Asad Ejaz Malhi, along with other senior officers.
