“Khan Sahib’s health is fine” – Lawyer says: Will not comment further until report is submitted to Supreme Court
Islamabad, February 10, 2026 – Salman Safdar, counsel for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, held a lengthy three-hour meeting with his client today under strict court orders.
Speaking briefly to the media after the meeting, Salman Safdar stated:
“Complete access was granted to Khan Sahib as per the court’s directive. I had a detailed meeting with him and inquired about his health. Khan Sahib’s health is fine.”
He added:
“I have prepared observations and information gathered during the meeting. The report will be submitted to the Supreme Court very soon. Until the report is formally submitted to the court, I do not consider it appropriate to share any further details or make additional comments.”
It is pertinent to mention that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had recently directed that Imran Khan’s counsel be allowed full access under judicial supervision to assess his health and conditions of detention, and to submit a report to the court accordingly.
The meeting and the lawyer’s statement have generated considerable interest in political and public circles regarding Imran Khan’s health and ongoing legal proceedings.
