Bad Bunny‘s Super BowlLX Halftime Show performance was much talked about Sunday night, though one particular part of the act left the internet in much speculation.
After taking the big stage and performing his track “NUEVAYoL” from his Grammy Award-winning album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, cameras panned over to a young boy sitting on a couch with his family, watching the exact moment Bad Bunny won the Grammy just one week earlier. The singer then handed over his gramophone trophy to the child, who held the award with a big smile on his face.
Following the halftime show, some online users incorrectly theorized that the boy in his performance was Liam Ramos, a five-year-old boy who was recently detained by ICE officers in Minnesota alongside his father. TMZ was among the outlets to incorrectly report that Liam was the boy in Bad Bunny’s performance.
However, The Hollywood Reporter can confirm that Liam was not featured in Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime performance. The image of Liam being detained on Jan. 20, seemingly in a blue bunny hat, subsequently went viral online.
The Puerto Rican rapper and singer’s halftime show was, as promised, a large dance party packed with celebrity cameos. Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Karol G joined him onstage to dance along to his tracks, while Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin literally shared the spotlight with Bad Bunny, taking turns singing.
Also in the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, a couple quite literally got married as he sang “Baile Inolvidable.” THR confirmed a real wedding took place mid-show, further platforming his halftime show’s message of spreading love.
At the end of his set, the Levi’s Stadium screens ignited with the message, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” and Bad Bunny held a football with the words “Together, We Are America” to conclude the performance.
While Ramos was not featured in the Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny has frequently used his platform to speak out about ICE. At the 2026 Grammy Awards last Sunday, during his acceptance speech for best música urbana album, he kicked off his remarks by stating, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to sayICEout.”
“We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens, we are humans and we are Americans,” he continued. “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it with love. Don’t forget that, please. Thank you.”
