LAHORE, Pakistan: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) hosted a seminar titled “AI in Business Solutions for Future Challenges,” highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of business and industry.
The session, chaired by LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, brought together business leaders, corporate executives and technology experts to discuss how AI can improve operational efficiency, decision-making and competitiveness across sectors.
In his opening remarks, Saigol said businesses must adapt to rapidly evolving AI-driven economic models. “Companies that fail to integrate artificial intelligence into their operations risk falling behind,” he said, describing AI as a strategic necessity rather than merely a technological tool. He acknowledged concerns such as job displacement and ethical considerations but noted that AI offers significant potential for productivity gains and new business models.
The seminar was moderated by technology expert Fouad Bajwa, who emphasized the importance of data-driven strategies. “Organizations that effectively leverage data are more likely to achieve sustainable growth. AI systems are only as strong as the data that supports them,” he said.
LCCI Vice President Khurram Lodhi stressed the need for awareness and skill development within the business community. He said AI should be viewed as a tool to enhance operations, strengthen customer engagement and unlock new growth opportunities.
Speakers at the seminar discussed AI applications in market analysis, real-time decision-making and risk assessment. They said responsible and strategic adoption of AI could enhance profitability and improve competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
Participants included former LCCI President Muhammad Ali Mian, Executive Committee members, and representatives from major private-sector companies, including the Services Sales Group, Pepsi Naubahar Bottling Company and VIZPRO.
Concluding the session, Saigol said the chamber would continue to support its members through knowledge-sharing initiatives, training programs and collaboration with technology experts to facilitate digital transformation.
