SWAT, Pakistan: A total of 330 male and eight female recruits of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police successfully completed their training and formally passed out at a ceremony held at the Police Training School in Swat, officials said on Wednesday.
The passing-out parade was inspected by Regional Police Officer Malakand, Syed Fida Hassan Shah, who also distributed awards to recruits demonstrating exceptional performance. District Police Officer Swat Muhammad Umar Khan, SP Investigation Mushtaq Khan, senior officers, and local dignitaries were also present.
Director of the Police Training School Swat, Habibullah Khan, highlighted that since its establishment in 2014, the institution has trained 6,007 recruits across 18 batches, who are now serving in the KP Police, FIA, and Tourism Police nationwide.
The ceremony featured an impressive march past and a mock counter-terrorism operation, demonstrating the recruits’ skills and discipline. A commando contingent presented a special parade amid chants of “Haq Ho Allah Ho.”
Female recruits, including Mehr-un-Nisa and Laila Sahar from Chitral, actively participated and pledged to serve with dedication, emphasizing the need for women officers in remote regions.
RPO Malakand Shah said the training program equips recruits with modern skills in law enforcement, public order management, martial arts, and weapons handling, preparing them to meet diverse security challenges. He added that the induction of this new batch will strengthen the provincial police force and contribute to maintaining law and order across KP.
