Islamabad: The opposition alliance’s protest demanding the transfer of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan to hospital has entered its third day.
Sit-ins continue at various locations in the capital, including Parliament House, Parliament Lodges, and KP House. Constitution Avenue, the busiest thoroughfare in Islamabad, remains completely blocked due to the ongoing demonstrations.
A spokesperson for Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan stated that the sit-in will continue until the PTI founder is transferred to Shifa International Hospital.
The PTI spokesperson has demanded that no medical treatment be initiated for Imran Khan without the presence of his personal physicians.
Medical Board Visit Postponed
The government-formed medical panel failed to arrive at Adiala Jail during the intervening night between Saturday and Sunday. The panel includes Dr. Amjad and Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi.
According to sources, a decision regarding the transfer of the PTI founder to hospital will be made in light of the medical board’s recommendations.
The Supreme Court has ordered submission of a complete medical examination report of Imran Khan by February 16.
