LAHORE: A one-day “Free Skin Diseases Medical Camp” was successfully organized at the Mercy Health Center of Forman Christian College University (FCCU), where 130 patients received detailed medical examinations and free treatment.
The camp was held under the leadership of Consultant Dermatologist Dr. Masood Sohail, one of Lahore’s leading skin specialists. Patients were examined thoroughly, prescribed medications, and provided free medicines on the spot.
The initiative was organized in collaboration with NKAS Pharma and Mercy Health Center, reflecting a strong partnership between private healthcare providers and an academic institution in promoting community health services.
Dr. Masood Sohail, who is also associated with Iqra Hospital, conducted advanced diagnostic assessments of patients suffering from various skin conditions. Several complex cases were identified promptly, and appropriate treatment was initiated without delay.
Patients expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, praising the professionalism and compassion of the medical team. “This facility is a great gift for us. We are very grateful to the university administration and Mercy Health Center,” said one of the beneficiaries.
Free medicines were provided under the leadership of NKAS Pharma CEO Usman A. Khan, whose support played a vital role in the success of the camp.
The camp was attended by Dr. Sarah Bashir, Dr. Junaid Mirza, and the nursing team including Lynn Asaf Din (RN), Head of Health Services at Mercy Health Center, Hina Khushi, Rachel Hammad (RN), Joshua Falaksher (RN), and Shakeel Sunny (RN). All consultations, basic check-ups, and essential tests were offered completely free of cost.
Concluding the camp, Dr. Masood Sohail emphasized the importance of timely treatment for skin conditions. “Do not ignore skin diseases; we will continue organizing such camps so that every citizen remains healthy,” he said.
Organizers noted that the continuation of such medical camps can play a significant role in strengthening community healthcare facilities and ensuring accessible treatment for underserved populations.
