RAWALPINDI — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) where he lauded Pakistan’s armed forces for successfully repelling attacks launched by the Afghan Taliban regime along the border.
Addressing the military leadership, PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that “the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces in defending the homeland.” He expressed full confidence in the military, saying that under the command of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s armed forces remain ever-ready to protect the country at all times.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s soldiers, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering support for its military.
The visit holds special significance as Operation Azm-ul-Haq continues along the Pak-Afghan border, with Pakistani forces having repelled Taliban attacks at 53 locations across 15 sectors, killing 274 Taliban personnel and capturing 18 border posts.
