IG Punjab Listens to Issues of Police Employees, Orders Immediate Relief

LAHORE: Abdul Kareem, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, held an open meeting with police personnel and their family members at the Central Police Office, where he listened to their concerns and issued directives for immediate relief.
During the session, the IG Punjab reviewed multiple individual requests and instructed senior officers to take prompt action.
On the request of Constable Muhammad Aamir seeking cancellation of his transfer, the IG directed the DIG Establishment-II to take necessary measures. In response to a recruitment request for the nephew of Shaheed Head Constable Muhammad Ashraf, the Additional IG Punjab was instructed to examine the matter.
Similarly, on the appeal of the father of late Constable Muhammad Nadeem regarding his son’s recruitment, the Additional IG Punjab was directed to provide appropriate relief. The IG also issued directions on a request submitted by the sister of late Constable Muhammad Nadeem seeking to declare her brother a martyr.
In another case, the son of Driver Constable Munawar Hayat sought recruitment consideration, upon which the Additional IG Punjab was ordered to facilitate relief. Additionally, DSP Ehsan Ashraf’s leave request was forwarded with instructions for necessary action.
While addressing other applications related to discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare, IG Punjab Abdul Kareem emphasized that the welfare of Punjab Police personnel and their families remains his top priority. He assured that timely and effective resolution of their concerns would be ensured.
