Safety First: Do Not Head to Airport Without Confirmation
The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that Zayed International Airport, in direct coordination with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre, has resumed a limited number of flights. Travellers are urged not to proceed to the airport unless their airline has directly contacted them to confirm their flight.
Abu Dhabi Airports reported that over recent days, more than 4,300 hotel rooms across 74 properties were provided at no cost to stranded travellers affected by the initial full suspension.
Rebooking and Refund Options
Passengers holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 21, 2026, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to May 15, 2026, or request a full refund via etihad.com.
