LAHORE: A delegation of Azam Cloth Market, led by Chairman Calendar Union Association Mian Laiq, met President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Faheem ur Rehman Saigol to discuss issues faced by traders.
During the meeting, participants held detailed discussions on problems confronting the market and other matters related to the business community. Opportunities to strengthen cooperation and improve commercial activities were also reviewed.
The delegation informed the LCCI President that Azam Cloth Market is one of the major commercial hubs of the city but traders are facing several challenges. They urged the government to provide necessary facilities in the market, including proper parking arrangements, smoother traffic flow, and improved loading and unloading facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Faheem ur Rehman Saigol said the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry would actively engage with relevant government departments to help resolve traders’ issues.
He added that the problems faced by commercial markets can only be addressed through close coordination between the government and business representatives. Saigol emphasized that improved infrastructure and better traffic management are essential to facilitate business activities.
Members of the delegation, including Bashir Butt, Hafiz Ijaz, Naeem Gujjar, Abid Sattar, Malik Tariq and Malik Awais, were also present at the meeting.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continue joint efforts to address traders’ concerns and create a more business-friendly environment to promote commercial activities.
