Islamabad — The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan announced on Friday that the crescent moon of Shawwal was not sighted anywhere across the country, confirming that Eid ul Fitr 1446 AH will be observed on Saturday, 21st March 2026.
The announcement was made by Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at a press conference in Islamabad, following the receipt of moon-sighting reports from all provinces and regions of Pakistan.
With no credible testimony of moon sighting reported from any part of the country, Friday, 20th March will mark the 30th and final day of Ramadan, and Muslims across Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Fitr on Saturday.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad extended warm greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion and urged all Muslims to celebrate Eid with unity, brotherhood, and joy.
