Rawalpindi — Special Report
The 274th Corps Commanders Conference was held in Rawalpindi under the chairmanship of Field Marshal and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir, addressing critical issues including regional security, terrorism, and the escalating conflict in the Middle East, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.
Condemnation of Iranian Strikes on Saudi Arabia
The forum strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complexes, describing them as “unnecessary escalation” that is actively undermining sincere efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Participants noted that Saudi Arabia’s measured restraint had created a conducive environment for mediation and diplomacy, but warned that unprovoked aggression was severely jeopardizing these fragile peace efforts. The conference called on Iran to immediately cease hostilities against Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan’s Rising Global Standing
Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that through the unified efforts of the government, armed forces, and the people, Pakistan is steadily strengthening its security achievements, consolidating economic stability, and elevating its regional and global standing.
Operation Azm-e-Istehkam and Counter-Terrorism
The conference reaffirmed unwavering commitment to Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, vowing to maintain operational tempo until all terrorist safe havens are completely dismantled. The forum declared that all terrorist proxy elements operating at the behest of India and other external sponsors — along with their facilitators and supporters — would be relentlessly pursued and eliminated without discrimination.
Pakistan’s resolve to decisively end the use of Afghan soil against its territory was also firmly reiterated.
The conference concluded with prayers (Fateha) for the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians, with participants paying rich tribute to their sacrifices as the bedrock of Pakistan’s security.
