ISLAMABAD (M.Saleem )

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi presided over an Operational Commanders Conference at Safe City Islamabad, where all DIGs, AIGs, and SSPs presented performance reports of their respective divisions.
The conference reviewed implementation of the austerity drive, traffic management measures, citywide surveillance through Safe City systems, and the progress of ongoing public facilitation projects. The IGP issued directives on overall police performance, security measures, and the use of technology in law enforcement.
Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stressed that serving citizens and effective enforcement of the law must remain the top priority. He directed officers to leverage modern technology to combat crime and bring criminals to justice, expand the scope of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” anti-narcotics campaign, and enhance online facilities for citizens. He also called for improved training to boost officer capacity, and instructed all commanders to maintain strict departmental accountability while simultaneously ensuring the welfare of police personnel through daily briefings. Concluding his address, the IGP declared that the ultimate goal is to make Islamabad not just Pakistan’s safest city — but the safest city in the world.
