Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, conducted an unannounced visit to various checkpoints and duty stations across the federal capital, in line with special directives issued by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to ensure foolproof security throughout the city.
During the visit, SSP Operations met with police officers and personnel deployed at various posts and carried out a detailed review of the ongoing checking procedures. He directed the concerned officers to make snap-checking more effective, systematic, and purpose-driven in order to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
Qazi Ali Raza issued clear instructions that all personnel must remain on high alert at all times, conduct thorough checks of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and immediately report any unusual or suspicious activity to the relevant authorities without delay.
Emphasising the importance of public relations, the SSP Operations urged all officers and constables to treat citizens with courtesy, respect, and professionalism at all times, stressing that strengthening the bond of trust between the police and the public is equally important as maintaining law and order.
He reaffirmed that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police, and that all ongoing security measures are being carried out with this singular objective in mind.
SSP Operations also appealed to the citizens of Islamabad to extend their full cooperation to the police and to promptly report any suspicious person or activity to their nearest police station or on the police helpline Pukar — 15.
