Islamabad — The first round of historic peace negotiations between Iran and the United States has commenced in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. High-level delegations from several Muslim nations are also participating in the landmark talks.
Authorities have deployed extraordinary security measures across the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Army has assumed full control of the area, with approximately 4,000 troops, 2,000 Islamabad Police personnel, and intelligence agency operatives positioned throughout the city.
Advanced TPS-77 Multi-Role Radar Systems have been installed at sensitive locations, capable of detecting and intercepting drones or missiles from a range of up to 40,000 kilometers. Aerial surveillance is being conducted via helicopters, while JF-17 Thunder fighter jets are patrolling the skies. Intermittent search operations are also underway across the capital.
The talks are being closely watched by the international community as a potential turning point in Iran-US relations.
