Islamabad (GNP): On the occasion of the commencement of the Islamabad Talks, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency JD Vance, Vice President of the United States of America.
The U.S. Vice President was accompanied by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Senior Advisor Jared Kushner. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was flanked by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
Commending the commitment of both delegations to engage constructively, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Islamabad Talks would serve as a meaningful stepping stone toward durable and sustainable peace in the region.
PM Shehbaz reaffirmed that Pakistan remains fully committed to continuing its role as a facilitator between both sides, working toward a future of lasting stability and regional harmony.
