A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister briefed the Federal Cabinet on the regional situation and Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region.
The Federal Cabinet unanimously passed a resolution, the text of which is as follows:

The Federal Cabinet offers Sajda-e-Shukr before Allah Almighty that He has given the beloved homeland Pakistan the opportunity to play a central role in establishing peace in the region and the world.
We pay rich tributes to Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with their teams, for successfully organizing the historic peace talks between Iran and the United States. Through their tireless efforts, hard work, and wise diplomacy, they brought the two warring parties to the negotiating table and ended nearly half a century of deadlock.
The Federal Cabinet particularly appreciates the round-the-clock efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who worked tirelessly, often through the night, to successfully manage the process. We pray that Allah Almighty grants them further success in this journey of peace.
Undoubtedly, this role of Pakistan will be remembered forever in the history of the world. We pray that the sincere efforts of Pakistani leadership are crowned with success and become a source of lasting peace in the world.
