PESHAWAR (Special Report) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed 475 terrorist incidents over the past three months, claiming the lives of 138 civilians, according to figures released by provincial police and security forces. Counter-terrorism operations conducted across 14 districts of the province resulted in the killing of 85 militants.
Law enforcement agencies registered cases against 1,427 suspects in connection with terrorism-related offences, of whom 107 have been arrested so far. Security sources indicate that the highest concentration of incidents was recorded in tribal districts and southern KP regions.
Authorities stated that intelligence-based operations are being intensified to dismantle terror networks, with inter-agency coordination being strengthened to prevent further attacks on civilian populations.
The figures highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by the province as security forces continue their campaign to restore lasting peace across KP.
