A deadly terrorist explosion rocked Colombia on Sunday, killing at least 14 people including children, in what authorities are calling one of the most horrific attacks in recent months. Several others sustained critical injuries and are currently receiving treatment at local hospitals.
The powerful blast caused widespread destruction in the targeted area, leaving residents in a state of shock and fear.
The Colombian government strongly condemned the cowardly attack and announced a reward of over one million dollars for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. President Gustavo Petro convened an emergency security meeting and ordered law enforcement agencies to immediately launch a manhunt for the perpetrators.
Security forces have cordoned off the area as investigations are underway. The international community has expressed deep grief and solidarity with the victims and their families.
