In a disturbing incident reported from Children’s Hospital in Naseerabad, Lahore, police have arrested two suspects, including a woman, for abandoning a dead newborn at the hospital’s emergency ward before fleeing the scene.
According to police, the incident occurred on April 21, when the suspects left the lifeless body of a newborn at the hospital emergency and escaped. CCTV footage from the hospital clearly shows the suspects abandoning the infant and leaving the premises.
Suspects Traced Through Modern Technology
A special police team was constituted under the supervision of SP Model Town Asad Ali and SDPO Garden Town to investigate the case. The Children’s Hospital Police Post successfully traced and arrested the suspects using CCTV footage analysis and modern tracking technology.
SP Asad Ali confirmed that the arrested suspects have been identified as Amna Bibi and Allah Wasaya, both originally from District Rahim Yar Khan. At the time of the incident, the suspects were reportedly working in the vicinity of Hafeez Centre, Lahore. Interrogation of the arrested suspects is currently underway and important revelations are expected.
Third Suspect Still at Large
Police revealed that a third female suspect, Sana, remains at large. Raids are being conducted at multiple locations to secure her arrest, and police expressed confidence that she would be apprehended soon.
SP Asad Ali warned that no one involved in this heartbreaking incident would escape the law, and that the case would be pursued to its logical conclusion.
