Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the firing incident at the dera of Punjab Assembly Member Colonel (Retd) Sardar Muhammad Ayub Khan Gadhi in Toba Tek Singh.
The Prime Minister directed the authorities to complete the inquiry into the incident at the earliest, identify those responsible, and bring the criminals to justice.
PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that Col (R) Ayub Gadhi is a dedicated and hardworking worker of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). “The attack on him while he was listening to public issues at his dera is extremely worrying,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister offered prayers for the forgiveness of those who lost their lives in the incident and expressed condolences to the bereaved families, praying for patience and strength for them. He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, including MPA Ayub Gadhi.
According to reports, unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire at the MPA’s dera in Rajana area, resulting in multiple casualties. Ayub Gadhi and several others were injured and shifted to hospital.
